I would assume that the memory is located inside the new "rom 2.1"
modual itself. since there would be all of the address lines and data
lines already avalible to the rom, the ram could (and I assume was)
placed inside the same container as the new rom.
Also, ti might have released it first in europe because of the
multi-language capablilty, where it would get more "testing" and demand,
due to the multi-lingual nature of europe
