That is exactly what I would *not* do.  Opening the calculator voids your
warranty; you won't ever be able to have TI repair or replace it.

I already saw that replacing the cable worked.  Had it not, you could have
sent the calc and old cable to TI to fix.  Now that it has, you can send in
the old cable and have it replaced, and then you have TWO graphlinks!  yay!
(That's what I did =)  Try putting two graphlinks on one PC on different COM
ports =)
