First of all, you can find a good (and free:) hex
editor here:
http://homepages.tu-darmstadt.de/~rkibria/frhed156.zip

Next, I have tried that method which I have described
to you, and 0xff is hex. On the 89, it would be 0hff.
At the end, there is a whole bunch of 0xff's. Just
copy the right number needed to get the rom at exactly
2mb, and then paste it. In the left hand side, it
should show ff (which is HEX). Hope this helps.
