Absolutely. We've been agreeing all along (In a rather roundabout way =).
Most people DO consider the standard stuff as part of the language (because
they learned it that way), so they will feel most comfortable coding the way
they learned.
For whoever asked why C++ isn't on the calc, it is because of the extra
features (NOT the language itself) would produce larger code than a regular
C program. Even then, some ANSI C features aren't good to use (instead of
printf, use DrawStr, etc.)
