A89: Linux shell in the dev

Alright, I am currently working on a linux shell and I need to know if anyone has any solutions for the following:
 
- Being able to receive files while the shell is executed
- Adding a password protection option
- Pop up menu to a button (like on Period 89, Period Table)
- Integrate Lilc c compiler into it.
 
 
I'm using Ti-GCC and writing it in C.
