A PPC based computer can handle a bunch of ram (lets see, a fruit brand?
:)  ) (ie: we're talking gig/bytes here...).

I think you mean a HDD with an access time of 12ns, not ms.  12 is a little
slow, they are getting down to 8 and 5 these days with silicon testing of
1ns ram.
