I know that this is waaaaaay off topic, but Serial DID post an ad for the
FreeDSL stuff here so this may be important for anyone stupid enough to sign
up.

The fine print on some of the offers (there are several, I'm not sure which
ones) says that they also get the right to switch your long distance to
their service and that if you disconnect within 3 years, you owe them a
disconnect fee of up to some $650. . .
