Yes... but NOT hardware !
The very first version of Bigdyna (not released) was using hardware vertical
scrolling. However, I didn't know how to change the screen width, so it was
scrolling by 4 pixels steps (because 240*4 / 64 = 15, this is the smallest
step possible). There was no double buffer : before displaying a sprite, I
was saving the backgound, then, after all the sprites were displayed, I
restored all saved background in reverse order to make all the sprites
disappear. Yes, this was horribly flicking : the sprites were actually
almost invisibles !
