What I do is archive everything, and then say "update
FAT" in AU (which I have set not to automatically
update). After that I can unarchive everything
necessary. It will restore without problems unless it
does a garbage collect (at which point you need to
update the FAT again.

make as me, copy all the files you need to launch a
game or other, and copy
it in a backup folder
