A89: A68k help

I'm new to assembly and I modified a file, but when I try to compile it using 
A68K, I get a ton of errors. So I tried to assemble source code from a 
program that I downloaded, but it won't compile eather even though it runs 
fine on my calc. The auther had to compile it somehow. I get a bunch of 
errors (last time over 2000) saying "Undefined Symbol" or something similar. 
What can I do to fix this?? Thanks. Sorry if this is a stupid question.
