I had already looked before asking, and it doesn't say anything
But, as i said , the author of sf2t said it would save batteries, which i
found a bit strange.

Actually, I don't think either way would save or hurt your batteries. But
all archived programs are copied to RAM before being executed, so this might
save a little time, which the batteries are used.
If you are familar with an 83, I suggest you read TI's 83 to 89 guide on
their website. And I suggest that you look over your TI-89's manual when
you have a question regarding it's operation. Much of the 89 newbie
questions can be answered there if you look. =)
