TI's website says this is just a "maintenance upgrade" for the TI-89.  And there is no "functionality change".  Apparently there is though, at least it affects Doors OS and PlusShell.
 
And the other OS's will be fixed to work with the newer ROMs as soon as the authors get around to it.. I know the Doors OS author is fairly active, but I think the author of PlusShell, Rusty Wagner, hasn't been around for a while...
 
If I were you, I would wait before installing the new ROM.. unless you have a backup copy of your old ROM that you can put back on your 89...

so wait up a second.  I haven't installed the new flash rom yet.  What does it fix?  And when are the os'es going to be re-configured to work on the new rom?  So should I install the new rom or just wait for now...
