There is a project called uclinux (www.uclinux.org) which ported Linux to a
MMUless 68k CPU.
(Like the 68000) However this port still required a huge amount of memory
compared to
the humble amounts of memory in the TI89. It would be mandatory to cut it
down even
more.
But then i dont see a use for Linux on the TI89 :) Probably it is easier to
write a
new *NIX which provides some basic networking capabilities. Or do you
really
need all these linux toys on your ti89 ? (httpd.. sure ;) )
