That's not really the point in a situation where you are not going through your computer, but
through a modem directly to an ISP. The modem needs a constant spped, and the official TI-GL is the
only one that produces a constant speed. (9600) This way, you can use and external serial modem
directly with the TI-GL with no adapters. (or a 25pin male-25pin male adapter if your cable is
attached to your modem)
I have heard that this is the only way to keep a constant communication link with the modem.
