A89: Macros?

am i the only one to notice this (i hate posting something that was asked last week :P), but there have been no 'macros' made for the TI89 (not the kind in the program, i dont know what these are). From the VAR-LINK menu, hit F2 and type set to 'macro', for that matter, 'other'. What are these? How can i creat a macro or 'other'. I haven't tried this yet (leery of Doors OS beta2), but when doors saves something in ZIP format (it shows up on the VAR-LINK as 'ZIP')...does it show up under other? 
Also, why is there no information on this in the manual? The same thing happened with the remote mode. Perhaps the wrote the manual before the 1.00 ROM? 
Well, if you can....write up a macro, so i can see what it would do for the calculator (maybe it can set the fonts..like small medium and that large, bold font?)
