Re: Re: A86: Problems compiling
i assume he's done this multiple times with each version, otherwise he
would not have said "replicate"
however, i agree, there's probably either a bug in an interrupt routine
or two different bugs. there may be some difference in the assempler in
asm studio that agrivates or hides one of them.
what do you do "at the title screen"? do you scan for external levels
there? do you set up a grayscale routine? do you unpack compressed
data? or are you just sitting there waiting for a key?
if you scan for external levels, then it's likely the problem involves
different locations for things in the vat, maybe you don't load rom page
$d back in?
(**I would seriously look for this**)
try storing 0 to _ASAPVAR at the end of your program instead of your step
3. see if that makes any difference. (run with nothing else on the
calc)
are you sure the source is exactly the same for both? also check to see
if something in an include file has changed, or in the .tab file.
i recently tried to make some changes to a program with as4 and it seems
like changing the order of some included code/data at the end of the
program made the program crash. it's really quite frustrating when you
can't see any other changes.
