the actual method to send one bit is to put a 0 out on one wire of the
link port then wait for the other to go low. when that happens, you
write a 1 to the wire you wrote a 0 to and wait for the other to go high
again. whether the bit transmitted is a 1 or a 0 depends on which line
you wrote the 0 to. repeat this 8 times and you have a byte
there are other methods, perhaps some that are better, but this is the
one the ti-os uses.
