I'll bet he got tired of calculator programming after 2000 email messages
asking to add fireballs, then 6000 more asking him to port it to the 83!

Actually I think Bill pretty much quit calc programming a long time ago, he
just had some free time over the summer and finally finished up Mario 86.
It took him a really long time to finish.  He started it pretty soon after
Penguins was released.
