Look people.. IPs are not supposed to be hidden. They never were hidden
until Internet Service Providers started showing up who use dynamic IPs.
These ISPs buy a bunch of IP addresses and hand the next available IP to the
next person to logon. Before that, ALL IPs were STATIC. In fact, static is
better than anything in the world because it makes hosting sites easier.
Your IP being hidden is a SIDE-EFFECT of the dynamic IP system that most
service providers use. No big name place has a dynamic IP. Altavista.com?
Sony.com? Disney.com? All static IPs. They could care less if you got
their IP because you can't harm them at all. Nuking?? Nukes, teardrop,
and other hacks are all exploits to bugs in the TCP/IP protocol. This is
not a problem with the internet itself. If you patch your system or use an
OS without this problem then you're fine. As for all those big name
companies, they use Unix computers. Ever tried to nuke a SunOS computer?
HAHAHA yeah right.
If this sounded like yelling it's because this topic has gone on too long.
