ram page 0 always contains the system variables (ram86.inc), special hook
routines, and the lcd display. it's always located at $c000-$ffff
ram page 1 contains the op stack, the fp stack, and free space for
assembly use (temporary)
ram pages 2-7 contains the vat, the directory table is at the end of ram
page 7 and runs backwards, while the data starts at the beginning of page
2 and runs forwards.
