afaik, there is a patch available to fix this too, check calc.ml.org's
archives for it, I think it's called "The down-left patch" :)

There's a bug in the way the interrupt reads from the key port. Games that
use the ports independently don't have this problem.

Subject: A86: 86 pausing
I am new to the 86, and I have noticed on my 86 (1.5 rom) that when
the down arrow and the left arrow are held down
simultaneously, any BASIC or asm program will pause. I am sure that
it is not the shell in my calc, b/c I have been able to do
this with BASIC and asm programs from the home screen. Does ANYONE
have an answer to this? Is it my calc/rom or does
it happen to everyone? I noticed that it doesn't happen in my 85.
Thanks.
