Re: A86: Hey there everyone...

This could be good and bad advice. When I started asm, I had a good amount
of experience writting games in both C and C++ on the pc. I started out
writting tic-tac-toe using text and getkey commands. That taught me the
basics of asm and how to do simple stuff. Then I wrote a not so great
version of space invaders and learned alot more about asm. After that, I
needed a project for the summer, so I wrote a side scroller with Matt
Johnson, which taught me more about asm than probably anything else could
have. We had to figure out how to do a side scroller from scratch, with
only the sqrxz code to get hints from. Figuring out how to do something is
the best way to learn.

(the code is still sitting on my hard drive waiting for me to get time to
finish the game [Matt quit asm], so don't ask...)
