According to what I understand, the _only_ part of the ROM that is not changable is the one that receives flash ROM upgrades (and possibly turn on as well?). However, this would mean that if you screw up in your ROM, you are in fairly deep, as you must find some method of resetting the material (maybe install a new chip?). This, of course, would make an 89 emu a real necessity, instead of the luxury it is now. --Bill Barksdale
