yes, he did, but it's not very accurate.  on new batteries, it said 107%.

i have actually found the routine which displays the "Your batteries are
low..." message, but unfortunately that doesn't do much good because that's
only called after the calc knows the batteries are low.

oh well.  maybe if there's a way to track everything the calc is doing...
