Solving for just an equation IS possible -- and it's not that hard or
impossible.. I started doing a program that would do that for me with
derivatives in BASIC (BASIC of all things).  Here, I'll even attach it.  I
never finished the program because I learned the short-cut for derivatives and
therefor had no need to finish the program because it took less time to work
the problem out by hand than it did to enter it in the calc.You just have to
use strings, and that's kind of it.  Relatively simple.
