i think that it reads from port 3, if i remember right from disassembly
- either that or there's a memory value that is read from port 3 every
interrupt that it reads. also i don't think it's the contrast. i tried
turning up the contrast and turning on the calc and turning it back down
and there was no message...

BIOSERRORS wrote something about getting the level of batteries.
