These are programs named [sqrt](something) like [sqrt]KEY that are
called from certain rom routines...[sqrt]KEY is called from getkey. 
That one has been used for things like loading programs when a certain
key is pressed, adding features to menus, delete protection, keyboard
rearranging, etc., to name a few.  I think someone asked for a list
about 2-3 weeks ago.
