if i wanted to, i would write a raycaster, i have all the source code
and books about it; i just don't like games like that (however... future
version of SIM City just _MIGHT_ use 3-d super-fast-technology to
display grahpics, allowing infinite levels of zooming). plus, for
general purposes the 86 is TOO SLOW and also has NO RESOLUTION for a
raycaster to work right.
