Okay then, please help !!
I just bought my TI-86 and Graph-Link a week ago, so I'm VERY new. I've
downloaded several programs, and uploaded them to the TI, and everythings just
fine there. I've also made a BASIC program or two. So I know my way around a
bit, but I'd like to program with the big-boys in Assembly !!
I sent a note here a day or two ago, asking if their was a shell for the Mac.
And I got back a response clueing me in that I dont need a shell for my Mac,
its for the TI. Great. OK, I can except that! But I think my next question
needs to be refraised!
Q: How do I create (or use a .asm file) a assembly program (do I make it
on my MAc or on the TI?). Then compile it (I'm assuming I need to do that,
since using AsmComp() on a .asm file didn't work) Then have it on my TI just
like the other .86p programs I've uploaded to my TI ????? And whats a shell,
and whats it for?
Next question would be, once I know how to create a program and so forth,
where's some good learning material for learning HOW to program in assembly.
NOTE: I've been programming for years using Pascal, BASIC, some C, and a
little assembly on the Aplle ][. I know programming, but not the details of
assembly! When you mentioned you had lots of questions when you made your
first game, where did you get all of the answers, and details on the how-to's
??
Lead on and Thanks for your help,
