Incorrect. If interrupts are installed (and I doubt there's anyone who uses my
calculaor who knows how to disable the interrupts), taking out a battery and
pressing [ON] or taking out a battery while the calculator is on will make the
CPU restart at $0000 (or maybe some other spot) when it's turned back on.
The memory will be intact and all programs running will be terminated.

PS. The TI-86 uses AAA's.
