Some people have been removed from the lists because mail has been
bouncing from their address(es). Note that unsubscription only occurs if
_repeated_ messages bounces.
The listing of unsubscribed users (currently back to Sep 15th) is
available on the www.ticalc.org site. Much confusion would've been
avoided if you'd taken the time to check it.
Anyway. Here is what we have recorded. The reason given is what _your_
ISPs mail server responded to the list resender:
h@frontiernet.net Removed on Sep 10, reason "User unknown"
joemama@minot.com Removed on Sep 17, reason "Unknown mailer error
1"
jerky@ebicom.net Removed on Sep 14, reason "We do not
relay"
butler2@erols.com Removed on Sep 17, reason "User unknown"
This is what I have found out. This is the four addresses I checked on.
No checked address was not unsubscribed for a valid reason.
I'm sorry if this has caused trouble for you. But the fact is that your
ISP was at that time not handling mail for you. This causes a lot of
mail to bounce (to me). When a single address bounces several times (and
this does happen, sometimes filling my mailbox with > 100-200 mails per
day), it is removed from the mailinglist. Notification of this is posted
on www.ticalc.org, so you can check what the problem is.
Note that if mail bounces due to a temporary reason, such as network
timeout, nobody is removed from the lists. Only when the ISPs mailer
program reports a permanent error.
