Yes, I've gotten that a few times, all you should have to do is restart
Windows.  It's very annoying when you want to try something important, but
it suddenly stops working.

Also I noticed something today while actually doing my homework with my 86.
 when I turned on the calculator, it said something like "Batteries Low,
Recommended Change Soon" or something similar.  I don't know if you guys
have seen it, but it's a pretty cool feature.
