In order to save the shell, you can use memmess (on the calc.) to change 
the name of the Z/C/O/shell string to a number (use F5 not the built in 
feature) you can be obsessive about it and say change the first letter 
of Cshell to a (, it looks like it says Cshell, but it does not show up 
in the delete menu:P.  The string will still register in the ram check, 
however, as it still takes up room.
