Or, quite simply, just wire TX and RX through to the TI-85 .. a plain
dumb terminal (which is all you can really expect within reason) doesn't
need to worry about CD and RING and all of that other good stuff, it
really only has to worry about TX and RX .. the next fun part is
implementing a shift register or UART in software, but hey, if my c64 can
do it.. ;)
Of course, when only passing TX and RX you have to do the sa,e kind of
wiring stuff that you have to do with 25->9 pin connections sometimes,
to wit, wire the modem's MR to the modem's TR, etc, etc, so to the modem
it seems like the other end is using all 25 pins when it's really only
using 2.
