It doesn't need "the power to communicate with a modem." It
communicates in the standard TI protocol. A TI graph-link converts
this protocol into RS232. A modem understands RS232. Simple. (BTW,
you could also hook a serial printer up to the graph-link and print
stuff from Talk85.) The only problem is that Talk85 doesn't send the
standard ASCII end-of-line character (CR) so you won't be able to do
much.
