because in 82-ram.txt, it is written:

Word 8D0E Pointer to last byte of used mem (init to 8D24) 
Pointer to last byte of used mem
         (above three wors a pointers, in increasing order 
points to locations which has reals,24495)

so, Tijl is right :)

and I'll have to increase the given address to get the start 
of free ram.
