Note that you have to reset the variables before you use them, they don't 
start out at 0.

Saferam2 is statvars on a TI83, so you should:
  res statsvalid,(iy+statflags)
This makes sure that TI-BASIC programs or Y= equations that refer to the 
lowercase stat vars don't use corrupted numbers.
