Page 13. "Test Mode Select"
any value between 0x18 and 0x1F should work.

So maybe the SE doesn't use the same chip as the 83 and 83+. or maybe 
the actual lcd is different and it reacts differently to the chip being 
in test mode.

Anyone knows more?

It's not recommended to use anyway. The Toshiba specs just says "This 
command selects the test mode. Do not use this command." and nothing more.
Could be for factory testing or something.
