Well, TIOS is kept in Flash ROM on the TI-83 Plus (otherwise how would you
be able to update your Base code version?). The trouble is that the
calculator does quite a good job of not letting anything (other than TIOS
itself) write to the Flash ROM, and of making sure that you don't trick it
into loading something it doesn't want to into Flash ROM.
