I don't know. What I need is for this routine to search through and find all
of the programs or protected programs starting with EB, so they can be loaded
into a certain ram locations then loaded into a menu and the user can select a
book to read.

btw, I have an initial website up at
http://kirk.math.twsu.edu/Family/james/ebook83p.html which I will update as
progress continues (the source there is already out of date, as I have been
constantly modifing it.)
