If you're trying to do like a music program with the 2.5mm->3.5mm->Headphones 
connection thing, dont plug it in while the OS is running before you start 
the program. You may want to have it wait and say "Plug In Headphones Now" or 
something, because I dont think it will stall once it is inside the program. 
It will still stall in SOS, if i remember correctly, because SOS uses _getkey 
and allows for the contrast changing and APD thing, which probably also 
includes the port checking sequence in there.  Im not sure about that, so 
someone correct me if im wrong... =P
