A83: sprite won't clear completly

I still need help, the problem is that when my sprite faces a direction 
and he continues along just fine, but when he changes direction a 
different sprite starts, not totally erasing the other.  How do I fix 
this?  Also, when my sprite goes to the right, about half way across he 
jumps all the way to the left?  Is there a problem with my window range?
