Yes, it is illegal, 'cause those names are all registered trademarks.
However, recreating the game (not replicating it ofcourse) is not illegal.
On the MSX, there also exists a version of Sonic, but because of legal
issues it's called "Sonyc"....

But I don't think it will give any problems. As long as it isn't a
commercial game...
