A83: Symol table questions

Well, things have apparently cooled down (dramatically), and I'm back.  i
have a question, but it's especially for Ian or Pat.  How do I know when
I've hit the end of the prog/liist symbol table?  Also, how do I know if
I've hit the end of the normal symbol table? Also, do the symbol tables
have definite ends?  Also, why the heck are there 2 freaking symbol
tables?!?
