yea.. will check on that..
I2C was one of the protocols I had in mind..  one other is MicroWire from
National Semiconductors..

the fun thing with theese are that there is a LOT of small IC's and memorys
and  AD/DA converters and all sorts of things that is compatible with this..
(many modern VCR's even uses the I2C-bus internally..)
