All you need is a stereo 3.5mm to 2.5mm converter from Radio Shack to plug
into your TI-83.  With the converter in, you could plug in some headphones or
speakers.  
I connected my calc up to max. 100w speakers  by plugging a Y-Converter
(splits single stereo plug into 2 cables) into the 3.5-2.5mm converter.  Then
I could just plug the two cables into my tuner, where the speakers were hooked
up.  Of course, you still get the same lowly beeping noises, but much
louder...
