Try changeing the op-amp power control registers of the lcd driver chip, If
I dont remember wrong, this is what makes the lcd go crazy..
try also to enter test mode..
this is done by writeing this to the lcd control port:
test mode: a value between $18 and $1F (doesnt matter which)
op-amp 1: a value between $10 and $13 (different levels I assume..)
op-amp 2: a value between $08 and $0C ( - " - )
Thats about what you can do with the lcd controller exept the usual stuff
and hardware Y-scroll..
try it.. I'm sorry I can't.. (no 83 anylonger you know..)
A warning though.. I don't know how good it is for your LCD to fiddle with
this.. don't sue me if your lcd breaks..
