Re: A83: Help

Now here is a BIG concept! Being able to boot off an external ZIP Drive! Wow, that's amazing!! How about not having to slog your way all over the internet just so you can find the drivers for your stupid sound card! Think of that, not having to edit some dumb text file! My Mac SE (4th mac model made) can still do stuff that the windows PCs are just now learning to do. But then again, if you think about it, the Mac was originally designed as a graphical system with easy to use and set up features. The IBM PC was designed like the Apple II (now there's processing power!) It was originally a text based machine geared for the business world where cutesy graphics would have been laughed at at the time. The Mac Platform was geared for the future while the IBMs were designed to just do the job, regardless of how hard, or slow, it was! I'm not dissing the Mac because I have 3 Macs of my own and I only use macs (except at my school that uses Win95, the worlds biggest mistake) and I can't see myself doing everyday stuff on a Windows Machine! As long as we can read each other's files, does it really matter? ("Well, uh, why do you have your start menu on the top of the screen?? That's not right!"...."For the same reason yours is on the right side!!")

More later,
Nick

not alaways,...  :)

Thats not going to happen soon...  Ardi isn't making any progress at all...

I'm sorry, but macs use the some of the same PCI video cards and monitors
that you find on your PC...

every mac manual I've ever needed to look at explained everything...  But I
only read the manual for fun since the programs are self explanitory...

Its hard to figure out that the cable with the picture of a screen doesn't
go into the port with the same picture above it...  :)  Macs have every
card that PCs have...  They have multiple serial cards, everything you'd
ever need...  Now, Pc maufactures make more than you need some times...

the printers made for macs are slow, they use the

Hmm...  My HP DJ870xi Parallel port windows only printer (it said that on
the box) works fine on my mac...

the pictures come out lined....oh

I don't think you get the difference between a plotter and a printer...

forget what i said about apples and

I think you have mistaken a low end mac here...  If you'd seen a real
machine, you'd know how funny all of your things sound...

Oh yeah...  Every part of the EII devolpement was done on a mac...so don't
go dissing it...  :)
