its going to be a metroid game, but not a direct clone, so if u know what 
that is know that im prob not going to copy the monsters from that game 
totally. anyway, its a basic action game. i dont really need the monsters to 
be that smart. heres an example of two i have planned. i have such a little 
idea of what the format for the monsters could be and how the engine will 
interpret it to move sprites.

Crawler (from metroid 1, but modified) crawls around the perimeter of any 
surface, up down, left and right, even upside down when needed. Its attack 
mode is it will switch directions if shot. If it gets shot while upside down 
and sometimes (at random times) sideways it will fall off and crash to the 
ground. If it falls 7 or more blocks, it dies. Can be killed by one missile. 
If shot in the air it gets hurt. Doesn't attack the player directly, but has 
spines on the top that are dangerous.

Shooter moves along horizontal surfaces very quickly on his wheels but tries 
not to fall over the edges (it reverses directions). his attack mode is when 
he sees the player ahead of him he shoots energy beams from under his thick 
armored shell at a certain interval, but stops when shot momentarily. his 
special actions are that when he is shot he will lose grip on the ground 
momentarily and swerve back in the opposing direction. It can fall off edges 
this way. If shot by another Shooter it goes crazy and moves randomly, and 
if shot again it dies. Missiles can penetrate his armor but dont kill it. 
Regular shots from the player make him stop for a second but dont hurt him 
unless hes shot from behind. getting shot in the air doesnt change this.
