Tad of info for server people
reg fees for ANY top-level domain:
$100/yr first
$50/year after
use InterNIC.
high level domains are (I think) free, if you set them up in the network
cpl correctly (or a declared computer name)
for instance, my computer (in Linux) is 'thecubic'. if I am connected to
my internet provider it automatically hooks me up with
'thecubic.mediaone.com'
if I pay 'NIC and give them my IP i could potentially be
www.thecubic.com.
Have computer set up to some sort of non-ISDN static connection, (CPU on
ALL the time for best results)
otherwise top-level domains are impossible.
Apache is great, but hard for anyone who hasn't used it yet.
:Linux Is Not UniX: that's all I have to say about that......
